Education:

High school diploma or the equivalent.

Licenses:

Driver's License, Sales License.

Job‑Specific Expectations:

Be directly responsible for selling vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards, as set at the sole discretion of the dealership.

Coordinate with the sales manager to set and meet new and used sales quotas; meet profit margin goals.

Be polite, friendly, greet customers promptly; consistently follow the outlined sales process.

Utilize floor time effectively in meeting customer needs and soliciting sales.

Determine customer’s vehicle needs by asking questions and listening.

Demonstrate and test drive vehicles.

Verify that customers are qualified for wants, needs, and ability to buy.

Maintain current knowledge of products, features, accessories, and benefits; maintain an owner follow‑up system encouraging repeat and referral business.

Understand automobile business terminology and keep abreast of technology changes.

Perform pre‑delivery inspection and road test before delivery to customer.

Deliver vehicles to customers after purchase, ensuring they understand operating features, warranty, paperwork, and building loyalty.

Use delivery to create an event fostering customer loyalty; understand equity and depreciation and explain to customer.

Conduct telephone transactions courteously and promptly.

Utilize consistent quotation process for purchases, trade‑ins, and vehicle sales.

Move and arrange display vehicles on showroom and lot as directed.

Deal with customer complaints with empathy and positive attitude to demonstrate commitment to excellent service and increase loyalty.

Know and understand federal, state, and local laws governing retail auto sales.

Attend pertinent training and stay current with sales department concerns and techniques.

Attend sales meetings.
