Retail Specialist
to join the Made in TN team. This role is perfect for someone who loves people, enjoys creating a warm and welcoming shopping experience, and takes pride in representing local makers and thoughtfully curated products.
As a Retail Specialist, you’ll play an important role in helping customers discover Tennessee‑made goods, find meaningful gifts, and enjoy a memorable in‑store experience. You’ll be a key part of keeping the store beautiful, well‑stocked, and running smoothly while delivering genuine Southern hospitality to every guest who walks through the door.

What You’ll Do
Greet every customer with a warm, friendly attitude and provide attentive, thoughtful service
Help customers discover Tennessee‑made products and recommend gifts, souvenirs, and local favorites
Share product knowledge and confidently speak to the story behind our makers and merchandise
Operate the register and complete customer transactions accurately and efficiently
Assist with restocking merchandise and keeping displays full, organized, and visually appealing
Help maintain a clean, tidy, and inviting store environment throughout each shift
Support daily store operations including opening, closing, and general upkeep as needed
Assist with receiving product, organizing backstock, and helping keep inventory areas neat
Work collaboratively with the team to create a positive, upbeat store atmosphere
Represent the Made in TN brand with professionalism, warmth, and pride in local products

Comfortable starting conversations and helping customers feel welcomed and cared for
Passion for local makers, small businesses, and thoughtful gifting
Strong communication skills and a positive, team‑oriented attitude
Organized, detail‑oriented, and takes pride in keeping a store looking beautiful
Able to multitask and stay engaged in a fast‑paced retail environment
Able to stand for extended periods and assist with light lifting, stocking, and merchandising
Weekend availability (Saturday or Sunday) is required
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
