Summary/Objective The Assistant Director of theRandolphFund supports Randolph College’s annual giving strategy by managing a large portfolio ofRandolph Fundprospects andhelping to buildstrategytoacquire,retain, and upgrade donors. In collaboration with theDirector of the Randolph Fundand partners across Institutional Advancement, the Assistant Director helps move donors through the pipelinebyconsistent engagement, personalized stewardship, and targeted solicitation. TheRandolphFund includes direct mail, email and digital marketing, a student calling/digital engagement program, and volunteer/peer engagement (e.g., class-based outreach andReunion giving), including the College’s annual Give Day.This position managesa portfolioof approximately 500 prospects with target gift opportunities up to$9,999 anduses data and performance metrics to drive donor contact strategies and results. Manage a portfolio of approximately 500 annual fund prospects (target gift opportunities up to $9,999) and execute a consistent cadence of outreach, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship via phone, email, digital channels, and in-person or virtual visits, asappropriate.

Set and achieve annual goals (dollars, donors, and retention/upgradeobjectives) in collaboration with the Directorof the Randolph Fund; trackprogress and adjust strategies based on performance.

Plan, implement, supervise, track, and analyze the student calling/digital engagement program; hire, train, schedule, and manage student employees.

Apply data-driven strategies by producing and analyzing reports and queries within Raiser’s Edge, including segmentation for acquisition, retention, upgrade, and reacquisition, andmaintainingaccuratecontact and engagement activity records.

Coordinate with colleagues to ensureappropriate referral/escalationof prospects based on capacity and engagement, and to support integrated stewardship and impact messaging.

Support annual giving and engagement events and initiatives (including Give Day, Reunion/WildCatWeekend, and related stewardship activities), including committee or volunteer coordination as assigned.

Perform other duties as assigned to support annual giving outcomes and overall advancement priorities.

Competencies Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to convey donor impact clearly and compellingly.

Strong relationship-building skills; comfortinitiatingdonor conversations and making direct asks.

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, andmaintainstrong attention to detail.

Analytical and metrics-driven; able to interpret performance data and translate insights into action.

Proficiencywith CRM/database systems (preferably Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge) and related toolsthat feed the studentdigital outreach; ability to learn new platforms quickly.

High integrity and discretion in handling confidentialdonorand institutional information.

Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a strong commitment to service and donor experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities Student workers/callers (student calling/digital engagement program)

Work Environment The position typically works in an office environment with occasional travel. Must prioritize work/office presence during critical giving times (e.g., calendar and fiscal year-end, Give Day,WildCatWeekend,Reunion). Must be available toworksome evenings and weekends, particularly in support of student calling/digital engagement. Physical Demands May occasionally lift 10–15 lbs.or maywalk and/or bend in performance of the job function. Travel Required Up to 30% of time spent on travel forCollegebusiness may berequired. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’sdegreeisrequired.

Minimum of two years of related experience, preferably in annual giving, fundraising, higher education advancement, nonprofit setting, oranotherrelated field.

Preferred Education and Experience Experience managing portfolios andsolicitinggifts via phone, digital channels, and/or visits.

Experience supervising or leading student employees, interns, or volunteers.

Experience withCRM anddigital fundraising platforms and/or giving day tools (e.g.,GiveCampus)forfundraising.
