Storm Duty Requirements Tampa Electric and its sister companies serve a role in providing critical services to our community during an emergency. Team members are required to participate in the response/recovery activities related to emergencies/disasters to maintain service to our Tampa Electric customers. Team members are required to work in their normal job duties or other assigned activities. Proper compensation will be made in accordance with the company's rules and procedures.

Enterprise Analyst, Desktop Management Focus, Progression Company: Tampa Electric Company

Shift: 8 Hr. X 5 Days

Position Title: Enterprise Analyst Progression (I, II, III)

Reports To: Enterprise Desktop Services Team Lead

Company: TECO Services Inc.

Department: Business Computing Services

Position Concept Recommend, implement and support the corporate-wide desktop infrastructure and related systems. This position delivers information technology solutions in support of business processes and creates change in support of strategic technology goals while ensuring uninterrupted service of existing systems through problem resolution and central management in a client/server environment. This position serves TECO Energy and all its subsidiaries.

This position can be hired at any level in the job family of progression based on Education and Experience.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain and administer existing Enterprise Desktop Technology Domain (EDTD) hardware & software throughout TECO Energy. (35% of duties)

Participate in projects to implement EDTD technologies throughout TECO Energy. (30% of duties)

Provide subject matter technical assistance, knowledge transfer and mentoring to other IT Staff and other technology users for the EDTD throughout TECO Energy. (15% of duties)

Evaluate, recommend new or improved methods, tools or systems for the EDTD and integrate future technology solutions into the EDTD throughout TECO Energy. (10% of duties)

Actively steer business unit process analysis and technology decisions by providing consultation on enterprise desktop applications, technology and implementation approaches. (10% of duties)

Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a computer‑related field is required.

Related Experience: Six (6) years of demonstrated technical experience in supporting or administering a relevant technology (e.g., Microsoft Windows, MSOffice, Active Directory) in a medium size corporate environment is required. A college degree may be considered in lieu of 4 years comparable related experience.

Microsoft (MCITP or higher) or advanced technical education may be considered in lieu of education or experience requirements.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Working knowledge and ability to support and administer two or more of the following Advanced Enterprise Technology Components: Network Administration (e.g., Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, BeyondTrust Power Broker); Microsoft Desktop technology products (e.g., Windows 7 and higher, MSOffice, MSProject); System Center Configuration Manager or other Windows imaging and software deployment technologies; System Center Endpoint Protection or other enterprise antivirus technologies; Software package development and associated tools (e.g., AdminStudio, Orca); Apple Desktop technology products (e.g., OS X, iOS, Office for Mac); JAMF Casper Suite, or other Apple imaging and software deployment technologies; Mobile computing (e.g., Mobile devices, Microsoft Direct Access, NetMotion Mobility VPN); CA Service Desk and other Service Manager infrastructure components.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities – Enterprise Analyst I All duties of Enterprise Analyst I (40%)

Product Administrator for one or more Advanced Enterprise Technology components (40%)

Other Enterprise Desktop duties including:

Act as lead BCS resource on projects that utilize or affect enterprise systems resources and/or,

Mentor and provide guidance for staff on area of expertise including developing training, demonstrations, standards, procedures, and documentation for IT staff and user area personnel and/or,

Contribute to integrated system planning and proposed budget activities (e.g.: contribute to annual and 5 year work plans, help with preparing cost/benefit analysis, PSA’s, etc).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities – Enterprise Analyst II All duties of Enterprise Analyst II (50%)

Advanced Enterprise Architecture, Analysis and Planning duties (50%) including, but not limited to, any or all of the following:

Recommend, analyze and evaluate emerging technologies to determine fit into TECO Energy EDTD

Develop strategies to integrate emerging technologies into existing technical architecture,

Lead projects to implement changes on EDTD throughout TECO Energy

Mentor others in department by preparing training, documentation, standards and procedures and presentations

Provide integrated system planning and proposed budgeting (e.g. develop and maintain annual and 5 year work plans, develop cost/benefit analysis for proposed projects, prepare PSA’s, etc) for the EDTD throughout TECO Energy

Qualifications – Enterprise Analyst II

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a computer‑related field is required.

Licenses/Certifications: Advanced Enterprise Technology certification (CCA, ITIL, MCSE, etc) required.

Related Experience: Ten (10) years or more of demonstrated experience in Enterprise Architecture, Information Technology Strategies, Business Analysis, Technology Analysis or other advanced business/technology cross‑functional expertise.

Multiple Enterprise Certifications (e.g., MCSE, MCITP:SCCM, etc) may be considered in lieu of experience or education.

In‑depth knowledge and ability to configure, support and administer multiple Advanced Enterprise Technology Components including Network Administration (e.g., Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, BeyondTrust Power Broker); Microsoft Desktop technology products; System Center Configuration Manager; System Center Endpoint Protection; Software package development and associated tools; Apple Desktop technology products; JAMF Casper Suite, or other Apple imaging and software deployment technologies; Mobile computing; CA Service Desk and other Service Manager infrastructure components.
