About the Role As an Assistant Property Manager, you will be an essential part of the property's daily workflow. Your responsibilities will include responding to resident inquiries, coordinating maintenance requests, and ensuring that services are completed efficiently and with care. You will assist with lease administration, conduct property inspections, help implement marketing initiatives, and provide informative tours to prospective residents. This position offers meaningful hands‑on experience in real estate management, senior living operations, and customer service-all within a collaborative team environment where professional growth is encouraged.
Responsibilities
Market and lease apartments in accordance with Fair Housing guidelines
Provide community tours and share local area information
Support the property manager with resident and staff questions
Assist with staff training and on‑site communication
Help implement marketing programs and prepare weekly traffic reports
Complete monthly market studies and gather competitor insights
Collect rent and security deposits
Address complaints, disturbances, and lease violations with professionalism
Demonstrate Oakbrook Values: Ethical, Professional, Collaborative, Family
Perform additional duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or GED
Experience in property management or a related field
Leasing, sales, or marketing experience
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to perform property inspections with or without accommodations
Experience with MRI, VMS, or similar software
Project‑Based Section 8 knowledge preferred
Customer‑focused mindset, strong organization skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
