Payroll Director

The Treasure Valley Family YMCA is seeking a Payroll Director to join our team! This position manages all aspects and processes related to payroll services, for the Treasure Valley Family YMCA and other shared Association Agreement (if any), ensuring pay is processed timely, accurately and in compliance with all statutory state and government regulations. Responsibilities: Manages all processing of payroll to ensure timely and accurate processing of all payroll functions. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local payroll, wage and hour laws, and association policies and procedures. Ensures confidentiality within guidelines of all payroll functions, reporting and communication. Partner with Human Resources to ensure effective coordination, collaboration and communication of department services to employees and leadership across the association. Prepares and maintains accurate records including employee documentation, reconciling, submitting payroll taxes and governmental report, third party resources, monthly, quarterly and year end processes. Supervise payroll staff, including hiring, onboarding, role-modeling, coaching, scheduling and on-going development. Provides training and support Association leadership and staff by building collaborative relationships and delivering effective and accurate communication, creating understanding of pay functions. Actively participates in meetings and committees as assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. Three to five years of progressive payroll experience. Experience in HRIS management, preferably UKG Ready. Thorough knowledge of applicable Federal, State, laws, rules and regulations. Proficiency in MS Office and database administration. Excellent human relations skills and an ability to maintain position communication with staff and members. Ability to address and make solid decision in emergency situations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including telephone etiquette and computer use.
