Position is Hybrid but candidate must be located in Houston, TX area Position Brief: The Chatham Group is seeking highly qualified candidates for the role of Director of Benefits with a client in the Healthcare Provider and Hospitals industry. This position is responsible for the administrative management, design, implementation, and regulatory compliance of the company benefits program. You will be responsible for the optimization of an enterprise-wide program of health and welfare plans, pension, 401(k), qualified and nonqualified life, short term disability, and other voluntary benefits, as well as their compliance with IRS and ERISA regulations. Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and administration, of healthcare, welfare, and retirement benefits programs that are aligned with organizational goals Partner with the Director of Compensation and other executive leadership to deliver an fully integrated Total Rewards strategy Lead vendor management initiatives while working with consultants, actuaries, service providers, etc Ensure regulatory compliance with COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, IRS, DOL, ERISA, and other applicable legal doctrine Track KPI's to measure program effectiveness through employee retention, ROI, cost effectiveness, satisfaction, etc Serve as the final escalation point for complex benefits issues and benefits communication issues within the organization Manage and develop a high performing benefits HR team Requirements: BS in Business Management or HR related discipline. MS is preferable 10+ years of experience leading a benefits program within the healthcare provider industry Demonstrable experience managing an Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) database Strong working knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks and legal statutes Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) certifications are preferred Proven background managing teams of healthcare HR professionals Compensation will be commensurate with experience level and relocation may be provided, though that is probably unlikely. This position is hybrid with an expectation of candidate location in the Greater Houston Area for the ability to work in office as needed.
