Director, Benefits (Healthcare) | Houston, TX (Hybrid) Location : Houston, Texas (Hybrid – Onsite Required) Employment Type : Full-Time Salary Range : $160,000 – $200,000 + 20–30% Bonus

About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Director, Benefits to lead the strategy, design, and execution of comprehensive employee benefits programs within a large, complex healthcare environment. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for shaping benefits strategy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering competitive programs that attract and retain top talent.

Key Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and administration of health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs Ensure compliance with ERISA, IRS, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and related regulations Partner with HR leadership to align Total Rewards strategy with business objectives Manage relationships with consultants, brokers, actuaries, and vendors Oversee benefits operations, team leadership, and performance outcomes Drive initiatives in wellness programs and employee engagement Develop metrics to measure ROI and program effectiveness Collaborate with HRIS teams to enhance systems and automation

Qualifications 10+ years of experience in benefits leadership and operations Strong background in the healthcare industry (required) Experience managing vendors, contracts, and consulting partners Strong leadership and team management skills Experience with HRIS systems and benefits technology

Proven expertise in: Health and Welfare Plans Retirement Plans (401k, 403b, Pension) Plan Design, Compliance, and Implementation

Education : Bachelor’s degree required (HR, Business, or related field) Preferred Certifications : CEBS, CBP or equivalent

Additional Information This role requires relocation or local presence in Houston, TX Hybrid work model (combination of onsite and remote) Candidates must have healthcare industry experience
