273772Springfield, MassachusettsThe SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International**THE JOB:**The Director Finance Operations is responsible in the development, implementation, and control of the department's strategic goals and objectives. The position oversees the departmental and functional procedures, internal controls, and reporting g to ensure conformity to company procedures, corporate policies, and state and federal regulations and statutes while directing specific areas within the overall department operation. The Director Finance Operations will oversee the day‐to‐day gaming and non‐gaming operational finance areas of the property in partnership with the Finance Shared Services Center, Corporate CoEs, and Gaming Regulators. The Director Finance Operations will partner and maintain effective relationships with regulatory agencies and all operators by building credibility, and owning and resolving questions, requests, etc. The Director Finance Operations is expected to identify process improvement opportunities and partner with operators and Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to implement solutions.
**THE DAY-TO-DAY:*** Oversee that the assigned operational functions within the departments are consistent with the strategic plan and vision for the department, division, and property.* Manage Human Resources responsibilities to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training, and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; compliance with company and department policies, and legal requirements.* Develop and oversee execution of property‐specific programs, policies, and procedures as they relate to gaming/casino finance, accounting, audit, and state and county regulatory programs. Stay abreast of changes and trends in the regulatory environment and make changes/updates to existing programs/policies/procedures, as needed. Identify process improvement opportunities and partner with operators and Centers of Excellence (COEs) to implement solutions.* Partner and maintain effective relationships with the Finance Shared Service Center, COEs, regulatory agencies, and all operators by building credibility and owning and resolving questions, requests, issues, etc. to make informed decisions that enhance financial and operational performance.**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:*** The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Management, or equivalent professional experience, combined with four + years of relevant experience in financial accounting and general ledger functions, preferably within the gaming industry.* They bring a strong foundation in financial operations along with demonstrated leadership capability, including prior management or supervisory experience.* Experience working in a similar resort or hospitality environment is preferred, reflecting an understanding of large-scale operational and service-driven business settings.**THE PERKS & BENEFITS:*** Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally* Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more* Free meals in our employee dining room* Free parking on and off shift* Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees)* Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community**VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION:****Pay Range:**The pay range for this role is:$103,200.00 - $137,600.00This range represents a good faith estimate of the salary range that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.
