Role Overview Cresa’s Portland office is seeking an Advisor to support transaction advisory services and develop into a future lead advisor.
This role is designed for individuals who want to build a long-term career in commercial real estate advisory. The position provides early exposure to client engagements, market analysis, and transaction execution, with a structured progression toward increased responsibility, business/client development, and client-facing advisory work over time.
Cresa believes in providing Advisors with the base of knowledge and guidance necessary to be an effective and productive commercial real estate professional throughout their career. All Advisors, whether experienced or new to the commercial real estate profession, are provided sales training the “Cresa Way” either through written training manuals, mentorship with a senior broker or Managing Principal, involvement in teams and regular training meetings.
Key Responsibilities Transaction Support & Execution
Assist senior advisors in the execution of tenant and buyer representation assignments
Support the development of real estate strategies aligned with client business objectives
Prepare market surveys, financial analyses, and client deliverables
Coordinate and participate in property tours and client meetings
Contribute to transaction documentation, negotiations, and deal tracking
Market Research & Analysis
Conduct research on market conditions, availability, and comparable transactions
Analyze data to support client recommendations and site selection decisions
Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in internal systems and databases
Support the preparation of presentations, pitches, and client-facing materials
Assist in developing insights and recommendations for clients
Ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness of all deliverables
Professional Development & Growth
Gain direct exposure to client relationships and transaction processes
Develop a strong understanding of the Portland commercial real estate market
Progress toward increased responsibility in client advisory and transaction management
Build the foundation for future business development and client leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (business, finance, real estate, or related field preferred)
1–3 years of experience in commercial real estate, finance, consulting, B2B sales or other client-facing role
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, understanding cause-and-effect
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail and organizational ability
Self-motivated, coachable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
Interested in creating business and client opportunities
Oregon real estate license within three (3) months of hiring
Demonstrates a high level of professional integrity, sound judgement, and a team-first mindset
Prioritizes client interests and long-term relationships over short-term wins
Strong ethical standards
Commitment to doing the right thing, for clients, colleagues and the firm
Dynamic, positive, energetic, and motivated by new opportunities
Must have own transportation
