A well‑established and growing financial services firm is seeking a
Senior Legal Specialist
to join its Legal team. This role offers broad exposure across legal, regulatory, and corporate initiatives, with the opportunity to work closely with attorneys, business leaders, and external partners.
Responsibilities
Support new client onboarding by preparing and coordinating required legal documentation.
Work with the Client Servicing team to manage ongoing client documentation and respond to related requests.
Develop and assemble materials for meetings of the board of directors.
Partner with outside counsel to prepare and update mutual fund and private fund disclosures, registration filings, and related legal materials.
Contribute to legal workstreams associated with mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.
Assist with regulatory compliance obligations for the firm’s international offices.
Provide organizational and administrative support for key corporate and strategic initiatives.
Deliver advanced paralegal assistance and project coordination for in‑house attorneys across multiple disciplines.
Manage U.S. regulatory filings and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
Identify opportunities to enhance legal processes, technology, and workflows—including evaluating the potential for AI‑driven improvements.
Collaborate with private equity sponsors on ownership structure matters and associated legal work.
Maintain corporate records, oversee entity management processes, and update structure charts.
Support legal matters related to both registered funds and private investment vehicles.
Oversee documentation needed to onboard trading counterparties.
Handle Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) requests from counterparties and regulatory entities.
Work with Investment Teams to review NDAs and various investment‑related agreements.
Assist the RFP team with legal and compliance components of proposal submissions.
Conduct reviews of vendor contracts to support business operations.
Requirements
Undergraduate degree and 5+ years of relevant experience supporting Private and Public Market deals within a buyside environment.
Strong drafting and document review experience, particularly involving offering documents and disclosure materials.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with clients, external partners, and cross‑functional internal teams.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including expert‑level proofreading accuracy.
Highly self‑motivated and capable of working independently while maintaining a collaborative, team‑oriented approach.
Strong attention to detail and accountability for delivering high‑quality work.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, growth‑focused environment and manage competing priorities with resilience.
