Junior 3D Retail Designer – AI-Driven Spatial Concepts

2–4 years of experience in 3D design, retail environments, spatial design, or relevant internships/projects. Strong portfolio demonstrating spatial thinking, 3D visualization, and concept development process. Ability to draw in perspective, work in scale, and develop floorplans or spatial layouts. Experience with 3D modeling and rendering tools such as AutoCAD (basic), SketchUp, V-Ray, 3ds Max, Blender, Unreal Engine, or similar. Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and presentation tools (Google Slides, PowerPoint, Figma). Hands-on experience using Generative AI tools (e.g., Midjourney, DALL·E, Firefly, ChatGPT, Gemini, or similar) for creative production. Demonstrated ability to iterate using AI-generated outputs and refine through traditional 3D craft. Strong curiosity, learning agility, and comfort experimenting with new tools. Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced environment. Bachelor’s degree in environmental design, interior design, industrial design, graphic design, or related field. Plusses: Experience using AI for texture generation, material studies, environment extensions, or rapid visualization. Familiarity with documenting prompt structures and maintaining organized creative systems. Exposure to retail or experiential design projects. Working alongside a seasoned 3D designer, this role will help visualize and prototype next-generation retail environments and store concepts, contributing to design systems that shape how Walmart’s brand comes to life in physical space. The designer will support the development of spatial concepts and floorplans, using 3D modeling, AI-assisted visualization, and rapid prototyping to explore and bring new ideas to life. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is fluent in 3D tools and eager to experiment with Generative AI as a creative accelerator—using emerging technologies to speed up concept development, rendering, and storytelling while refining outputs through strong design craft.
