Under the general supervision of a Tax Administrator I, the Senior Tax Compliance Representative (STCR) in the Tax Processing and Accounting Division's Rate Management Group (RMG) assists the manager in planning, organizing and overseeing the activities of the RMG staff to ensure the accuracy of the employer's reserve accounts. The STCR also provides technical expertise and support to staff and performs lead‑level duties including handling UI rate protests, petitions, and hearings. Responsibilities include applying the California Unemployment Insurance Code, Title 22 regulations, departmental rules and policies, and the Principles of Evidence as related to UI rating, rate protests, petitions and hearings, and reserve account transfers. Successful candidates will have strong analytical and communication skills and good judgment. All experience and education relating to the Minimum Qualifications (MQs) listed in the Classification Specification must be included in the application package. Application Instructions
