About the Role
Our Genetic Legacy is seeking a
Volunteer Special Events Coordinator
to support two major events: our
Swimathon Fundraiser (May 2, 2026)
and
We The People Museum Relaunch (September 18–20, 2026) .
Responsibilities
Plan and manage logistics, fundraising, corporate sponsorship outreach, marketing, and community engagement for the events. Create timelines and checklists, coordinate vendors and venues, schedule volunteers, and communicate with sponsors. Provide day‑of‑event support.
Qualifications
San Diego–based volunteer preferred. Availability on all event dates with flexible planning hours beforehand. Experience in event planning, fundraising, sponsorship outreach, working with youth/volunteers, or marketing is helpful. A passion for community impact matters most.
