Role Description We are seeking a
Junior Interior Designer
with 3+ years of professional experience to join our team in a
part-time, hybrid role . This position is ideal for a highly organized, design-driven individual who is confident supporting projects from concept through installation. In this role, you will assist in space planning, drafting construction drawings, selecting furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E), purchasing and executing orders, and collaborating with the owner on various projects.
Key Responsibilities
Support residential projects through all phases, from concept development to final installation
Assist with occasional commercial workspace projects
Produce detailed drawings, floor plans, and elevations in AutoCAD
Develop polished client presentations and visual materials
Create well-composed presentation boards with strong layout and graphic sensibility
Source furniture, finishes, materials, and fixtures aligned with project direction
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and team members
Assist with project management, timelines, and procurement tracking
Attend site visits, installations, and client meetings as needed
Qualifications
3+ years of professional interior design experience (residential preferred)
Strong proficiency in
AutoCAD and SketchUp
(required)
Proficiency in
Adobe Creative Suite
(Photoshop, etc.)
Demonstrated strength in layout, composition, and presentation graphics
Excellent sourcing skills with a refined design sensibility
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Clear and professional communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
Familiarity with
Houzz
or similar project management platforms (preferred)
Requirements
Must be based in Los Angeles and available for in-person work in Culver City
Reliable transportation for site visits, sourcing, and installations
Own laptop and design software
Comfortable working as an independent contractor (1099)
Self‑motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Compensation
$30–$35/hour, depending on experience20–30 hours per week
