The
Industrial Designer III
independently leads complex design projects, translating market insights, user needs, and brand strategy into innovative product solutions. This role operates with significant autonomy, applying advanced judgment to ambiguous design challenges while collaborating closely with cross‑functional partners from concept through production. The Industrial Designer III also supports the growth of the design team by mentoring junior designers and contributing to the refinement of design processes and standards. Major Responsibilities
Lead complex industrial design projects with significant autonomy, delivering high‑quality outcomes on time and with minimal oversight. Solve ambiguous and multifaceted design problems using sound judgment, creativity, and analytical thinking. Translate innovation, research insights, and market trends into compelling design concepts aligned with user needs and brand intent. Collaborate independently with Product Management, Engineering, and Manufacturing to bring concepts through development and into production. Create advanced visualizations and production‑representative prototypes to communicate and validate design intent. Actively mentor Industrial Designers I and II, supporting skill development and design quality. Contribute to the refinement and consistent application of design processes, standards, and Visual Brand Language. Minimum Job Requirements
Education
Bachelor of Science or arts in Industrial Design or equivalent. Certification / License

Minimum of 5 years of professional industrial design experience Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Complete knowledge and practical understanding of industrial design principles, processes, and tools. Ability to independently assess unusual design challenges and develop effective solutions with limited information. Strong judgment and decision‑making skills when balancing user needs, brand intent, and technical constraints. Skilled in advanced visualization and prototyping methods to convey complex design concepts. Proven ability to work independently, with work reviewed primarily at key milestones. Effective communicator who clearly articulates design intent, risks, and tradeoffs to stakeholders. Preferred Job Requirements
Education
Master's degree in Industrial Design, Design Strategy, or a related discipline Work Experience
7+ years of professional industrial design experience, including ownership of complex, cross‑functional product programs.
