Get to know us: About Gesa Credit Union Currently we are seeking a Home Loan Process Specialist II for a temporarily remote position in the Twin Falls, ID area. Occasional travel to Gesa locations may be required to fulfill job requirements.
Role Summary The Home Loan Process Specialist II is responsible for managing the closing and post-closing stages of residential mortgage loans. This role ensures all loan documents are accurate, compliant, and completed within regulatory timelines, coordinating with all stakeholders to facilitate smooth loan funding and delivery. The Home Loan Process Specialist II also handles post-closing activities, including loan package review, document submission, and investor compliance. This position has advanced, wide-ranging job knowledge and has demonstrated the ability to handle an increased workload and responsibilities in addition to the Home Loan Process Specialist I role.
What You Will Be Doing
Demonstrate advanced knowledge in mortgage products, regulatory compliance, and investor guidelines, serving as a resource for peers and stakeholders
Independently prioritize and manage complex workflows to meet tight deadlines and avoid lock expiration risks, while proactively resolving scheduling conflicts
Lead initiatives to streamline operational processes, reduce inefficiencies, and implement best practices across the team
Coordinate and support internal audits and external regulatory reviews by ensuring thorough documentation and proactively identifying and addressing compliance gaps
Oversee the accuracy and completeness of loan records in the Loan Origination System (LOS), ensuring alignment with regulatory and investor standards
Contribute insights during training and team meetings, stay abreast of industry developments and mentoring junior team members
Review and finalize closing packages, ensuring the delivery of accurate and compliant documents to borrowers and escrow agents
Take ownership of the loan closing process by coordinating with escrow and internal stakeholders, ensuring all pre-closing conditions are fulfilled
Validate and authorize disbursements by conducting a thorough review of executed closing documents for compliance and completeness
Serve as a key liaison by proactively resolving issues with borrowers, escrow agents, and Loan Officers to ensure smooth and timely funding
Oversee the accurate and timely recording of loan documents with county agencies, addressing any delays or discrepancies
Conduct in-depth reviews of final loan packages, resolving any document deficiencies and ensuring readiness for investor delivery
Manage and monitor the timely and compliant submission of loan files to investors, collaborating with post-closing and shipping teams as needed
Track and ensure receipt of trailing documents, including recorded deeds and final title policies, while following up with vendors to resolve outstanding issues
Issue Post-Closing Compliance Documents (PCCDs) in accordance with regulatory timelines, identifying and mitigating risks of non-compliance
Independently investigate and resolve post-closing discrepancies, ensuring investor requirements are met and penalties are avoided

Qualifications What You Will Need
High school diploma or GED required
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in mortgage closing, post-closing, or processing
One (1) year of experience handling Construction, Correspondent, FHA and VA loans
Proven experience with loan origination software, electronic file storage systems, and core banking systems required
Proficient with standard Microsoft Office Suite
Some travel is required to achieve training and business objectives
Valid Driver’s License is required

Full Salary Range Richland, WA: $22.92-$38.19
Twin Falls, ID: $20.00-$36.11
While our full pay range is listed, most new team members typically start between the minimum and midpoint based on their experience and qualifications. This approach gives room to grow within the role as your career progresses with us!
