
Senior Sales Manager, Corporate Partnerships

The Senior Sales Manager, Corporate Partnerships is an individual contributor responsible for driving new business development and managing a portfolio of advertising and sponsorship accounts at a senior level. This role operates independently, owning the full sales cycle from prospecting through close and ongoing client stewardship.
Responsibilities
Drives sales of advertising, sponsorships, and other revenue-generating opportunities in alignment with organizational revenue targets and strategic priorities.
Identifies and independently develops fully integrated partnerships with global organizations and brands, encompassing onsite activations, digital and social campaigns, VIP hospitality, entitlement, presenting partnership positions, and more.
Conducts industry research on all clients and develops needs analysis for potential investment.
Prospects, schedules, and conducts initial discovery meetings by phone or in person with new businesses that would benefit from associating with the school.
Maintains an active and realistic pipeline of prospective clients and activities in the CRM system (Salesforce).
Leads the development of local and customized sales packages, including unique sponsorship concepts (e.g., local flagship radio proposals).
Prepares proposals and makes presentations in collaboration with the Director, Creative Brand Partnerships and Marketing leads.
Develops client relationships by closing sales and honoring obligations in a professional and timely fashion, providing outstanding service.
Manages the book of business to ensure client payments are received upon designated deadlines.
Conducts proper outreach and engagement with clients throughout the year.
Provides each client with a year‑end review of its return on investment.
Works to foster positive employee relations and teamwork by following and supporting all policies and procedures, communicating effectively with all operating units, and complying with all federal, state, and local regulations, laws, and ordinances in discharging duties.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
Five (5) to eight (8) years of sales experience in a related field. Significant experience in the college and/or pro sports field strongly preferred.
A demonstrated track record of outstanding sales achievement (both in growth and profit) is essential. Proven ability to renew and upsell existing clients as well as land new clients.
Exceptional sales skills and proven ability to pitch and close deals up to and beyond six figures.
Superior communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Enthusiastic and creative with the ability to think strategically and tactically.
Strong understanding of sales compensation plans with the proven ability to navigate compensation issues to a positive conclusion.
Has the highest level of personal and professional integrity and ethics.
Has a strong understanding of and passion for college and professional sports industries.
Strong computer skills with experience operating in an environment that employs a CRM system (Salesforce) as well as the Microsoft Office suite.
