Job Summary The Service Desk Specialist works as part of a team to be the first contact for IT related issues and requests. They help deliver solutions to the end-user computing environment for internal customers. The primary focus of the Service Desk Specialist is to support the School Specialty end user community through support of desktop hardware/software, connectivity, technical employee on-boarding, and prompt problem resolution. As the front line of IT, they are responsible for information gathering and routing of incidents and requests to the proper teams within the IT organization.
Work Location
This will be an onsite role in our Downers Grove, IL location.
Compensation Information
Hourly range of $22-$26 plus an annual incentive plan.
What You’ll Do
Work as part of an agile team, building trust with the business to achieve organizational, business owner, and process owner goals.
Responsible for providing prompt and accurate baseline troubleshooting and support using established configuration standards, tools and procedures.
Act as an informational hub and scale incidents and requests to the proper departments within IT.
Be involved in an after-hours on call rotation.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Minimum of 6 months IT experience is desired.
Preference will be given to candidates with prior IT Help Desk experience and those with Microsoft Office products experience.
Education and/or Certifications
High School Diploma
Currently pursuing a degree in IT or related field preferred
