The Opportunity We are seeking a driven and relationship-oriented Business Development Manager to grow Alpha Summit’s SMA platform within the RIA and family office channel. This is a high-impact, client-facing role for an investment professional who understands the advisor landscape and has a proven ability to build trust with sophisticated allocators. You will be responsible for prospecting, engaging, and onboarding new RIA and family office relationships while deepening existing partnerships. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to grow AUM through RIA and family office relationships Prospect, qualify, and convert new advisor relationships via phone, email, in-person meetings and industry events Deliver compelling product presentations and portfolio reviews that articulate Alpha Summit’s SMA investment philosophy and differentiation Manage a pipeline of prospective and existing clients through CRM, ensuring consistent follow-up and relationship progression Partner with Portfolio Management and Client Service teams to ensure seamless onboarding and ongoing advisor support Represent Alpha Summit at industry conferences, advisor events, and due diligence meetings Stay current on competitor offerings, market trends, and the evolving needs of the RIA and family office community Provide market feedback to internal teams to support product positioning and development Qualifications Required 3-6 years of experience in investment product sales, wholesaling, or business development within asset management or wealth management Demonstrated track record of building and managing RIA or family office relationships Solid understanding of SMAs, separately managed account structures, and the needs of fee-based advisors Series 65 (or Series 7 + 66) license, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex investment concepts clearly Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce or equivalent) and Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Existing book of RIA or family office relationships in the region Experience with portfolio analytics tools (Orion, Tamarac, or similar) Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; CFA or CAIA designation a plus What We Offer $130,000-$150,000 + performance-based bonus tied to AUM growth Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with company match Access to a high-quality product suite with genuine institutional credibility Collaborative, entrepreneurial culture with direct access to portfolio managers Clear pathway for career advancement as the firm scales We are an equal opportunity employer and consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status under applicable law.
