What to Expect The People Content team is seeking a Sr. Videographer & Editor, People Content to join us, based in Austin, TX. You will be responsible for both creative and logistical aspects of video projects covering the full range of Tesla products, priorities, programs, policies, and protocols, with a particular focus on HR/Recruiting. You will research, write, film, produce, record, edit, and pitch content (i.e., videos, photo shoots, podcasts, etc.) independently and without "crew" support. The role requires you to collaborate and build trust with stakeholders and manage high-impact situations. This is an opportunity to tell Tesla's story and drive our message to build a world of amazing abundance.

What You'll Do

Research, write, film, direct, edit, and produce content that effectively serves business needs and communicates the concept to stakeholders and collaborators

Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including managing feedback rounds

Complete work in a single day or within a multi-week production, locally as well as out of state and internationally

Use modern video and audio recording and editing equipment to meet high-demand, creative video needs, with a strong understanding of post-production processes, taking a project from concept to completion

Work with available resources to ensure videos are completed on time and within budget, maintaining Tesla's video standards and advancing the unique Tesla brand and connection with our audience

Collaborate with stakeholders to proactively receive and act on feedback and build trust

What You'll Bring

8 - 10 years' experience in a videographer/producer/editor role. You must be able to film and edit independently without a "crew"

Fundamental cinematography training: a strong sense of cinematic composition, camera movement, lighting, and knowledge of camera and lens settings, such as: RAW and LOG recording formats, sensor size, ISO, shutter angle, resolution, frame rates, etc.

Ability to conduct on-camera interviews and set up microphone recording

Producing experience: able to conceptualize and develop creative video concepts to advance People's Content priorities, iterate based on stakeholder feedback, and plan a shoot to execute on it

Understanding of DIT workflow

Editing with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro) or Final Cut Pro, including basic color grading and sound design

A positive attitude with a bias for taking action, pitching creative ideas, and embracing uncertainty, ambiguity, and adaptability, while working in the office 5 days a week
