
Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to support our engineering team in the preparation and release of documentation for new products and modifications to existing designs for manufacturing. The candidate will utilize engineering CAD software and the company's business system software to effectively complete job tasks.
Job Title Mechanical Designer
Responsibilities
Create preliminary and final production drawings of machined parts, castings, and assemblies with input from engineering staff.
Prepare documentation of special products as required by the customer, using data supplied by Sales/Marketing and engineering input.
Collaborate with organizational functions to organize and set up product assembly and sub-assembly levels for BOM structure.
Create and maintain the product configurator, bills-of-material, and part master file records to ensure proper inventory allocation and accurate product costing.
Coordinate and prepare documentation of engineering orders for new product designs and changes to existing products.
Review final engineering orders for accuracy and compliance with design input specifications.
Create drawings for product catalogs and technical data sheets.
Adhere to guidelines and procedures as prescribed by ISO 9001 and ensure compliance with all safety measures and personnel policies.
Perform additional related tasks as necessary to support company products.
Essential Skills
High school education plus additional training equating to two years of college specializing in industrial manufacturing design/drafting.
Minimum of three years’ experience working with engineers in the development, documentation, and introduction of new products into the manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in mechanical CAD solids modeling, preferably with Pro/Engineer and PTC Windchill.

Work Environment The position is primarily based in an office environment with low noise, sufficient lighting, and controlled temperatures. The role involves mostly sitting at a computer terminal, with occasional visits to the manufacturing area where noise levels may vary.

Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $65,000.00 - $70,000.00/yr.
