Mechanical EIT/Designer

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer EIT/Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems for a variety of construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Design mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing.
Collaborate with architects and other engineering disciplines to integrate mechanical systems into the building design.
Conduct load calculations and energy efficiency assessments to optimize system performance and to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
Review and analyze project requirements, proposals, and technical reports.
Oversee installation and commissioning of mechanical systems on-site, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
Stay current with industry trends, technology, and regulations to ensure innovative and sustainable design solutions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with mechanical emphasis. With an accredited ABET program.
Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam or the ability to pass FE exam within 6 months of hire.
If they do not have a 4 year degree, they need to have a 2 year degree in drafting with an emphasis on mechanical design or worked in the field for a minimum of 4 years.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical design within the construction industry.
Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and Microsoft Word.
Experience with HVAC load design software a plus.
Working knowledge of building, energy, mechanical, and plumbing codes.
Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and use time productively to maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals.
Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies, procedures, and values.
Ability to demand the highest standard of ethical conduct from self and others.
Ability to travel as needed for projects.
