We are seeking a creative and consumer-focused Designer – UX Design Lab (Packaging Design) to join the North America team. This role plays a key part in shaping innovative, sustainable, and high-impact packaging experiences. The ideal candidate will combine design creativity, consumer insights, and technical feasibility to deliver packaging solutions that enhance user experience, elevate brand desirability, and support sustainability goals. Key Responsibilities: Consumer-Centric Design Analyze consumer behaviors, needs, and expectations Design packaging solutions that enhance usability and overall experience Creative & Aesthetic Excellence Develop visually compelling packaging aligned with brand identity Create designs that evoke emotion and elevate product desirability Trend & Innovation Stay updated on beauty, packaging, and market trends Identify innovation opportunities through competitive analysis Sustainability Focus Explore eco-friendly materials and sustainable packaging solutions Align designs with environmental and corporate sustainability goals Technical Collaboration Partner with engineers and product developers Ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and manufacturable Design Thinking & Workshops Lead and participate in Design Thinking sessions and design sprints Conduct co-creation workshops with consumers for innovation ideation Prototyping & Development Create and test prototypes using rapid prototyping tools Collaborate with suppliers to explore new materials and technologies Project Responsibilities: Drive Research & Innovation (R&I) projects with engineering and lab teams Support Packaging Lab innovations across multiple technical teams Contribute to brand-led packaging innovation projects Lead local UX design initiatives within global portfolios Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, R&I, Packaging, and Brand teams Work with external partners such as design agencies and suppliers Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Design, Industrial Design, Packaging Design, or related field Strong understanding of design thinking methodologies Ability to translate consumer insights into actionable design solutions Excellent collaboration and communication skills Preferred Skills: Experience in beauty, cosmetics, or consumer goods industry Knowledge of sustainable materials and packaging innovations Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, 3D tools) Experience working with cross-functional global teams Creativity and innovation mindset Strong problem-solving ability Adaptability in a fast-paced environment Attention to detail and execution excellence
