Pay Rate: $25.00-$27.00/ Hr on W2

Description:

Summary:

This role focuses on creating innovative, user-centric packaging solutions by combining creativity, technical awareness, and sustainability, while working in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.

What You Will Do: As a Designer within the UX Design Lab, reporting to the Head of UX Design Lab in North America, you will play a key role in shaping the future of packaging by delivering elevated innovation through design—focusing on desirability, sensoriality, new usage experiences, functionality, and sustainability.

You will collaborate closely with a diverse team of marketing professionals, engineers, product developers, and laboratory experts, both internally and externally, as well as with suppliers. Your work will directly impact the innovation pipeline, ensuring packaging solutions are aesthetically compelling, intelligent, sustainable, and technically feasible.

Key Responsibilities:

Consumer-Centric Design:

Analyze consumer needs and behaviors to create packaging solutions that enhance user experience.

Aesthetic & Creative Excellence:

Leverage creativity and brand understanding to design visually appealing and desirable packaging.

Trend Forecasting:

Stay up to date with industry and competitive trends, evaluate existing packaging, and identify innovation opportunities.

Sustainable Solutions:

Explore eco-friendly materials and manufacturing processes to align with sustainability goals.

Technical Feasibility:

Collaborate with engineering and development teams to ensure designs are feasible, cost-effective, and manufacturable.

Design Thinking Leadership:

Lead and participate in design thinking workshops and sprints, including co-creation sessions with consumers to ideate new experiences and innovations.

Prototyping & Supplier Collaboration:

Develop and test prototypes using rapid prototyping techniques and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to explore new materials and technologies.

Project Involvement:

Contribute to research and innovation-driven projects in collaboration with advanced engineering and development teams.

Support packaging innovation initiatives in partnership with cross-functional technical teams.

Work on brand-driven projects focused on enhancing user experience and sustainability through design.

Build and maintain strong connections with operational, research, innovation, and brand teams.

Lead local UX design initiatives as part of a global portfolio.

Collaborate with external partners, including design agencies and vendors.

Qualifications & Skills:

Solid understanding of user experience (UX) principles applied to physical products.

Creative mindset with attention to aesthetics and detail.

Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and sustainability practices.

Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.

Experience with prototyping and design tools is preferred.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.
