About The Driskill Built in 1886, The Driskill is one of Austin’s most iconic luxury hotels, blending historic charm with modern hospitality. The hotel features multiple dining venues, event spaces, and a vibrant bar program that reflects the culture and energy of downtown Austin. Position Summary The Director of Food & Beverage oversees all food and beverage operations at The Driskill, including restaurants, bars, in-room dining, and banquet/catering services. This leadership role is responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, driving revenue, maintaining high service standards, and leading a large, dynamic hospitality team. Key Responsibilities Lead all food and beverage outlets, including restaurants, lounges, and banquet operations Develop and execute revenue strategies to grow F&B profitability Manage budgets, forecasting, cost controls, and financial performance Recruit, train, and mentor F&B managers and service teams Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu development and culinary programming Oversee service standards to ensure luxury guest experiences Maintain compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations Partner with the sales and events teams for group dining and large-scale events Monitor guest feedback and continuously improve service and offerings Qualifications 7–10+ years of progressive leadership experience in food & beverage or hospitality Experience in luxury hotels, upscale restaurants, or resort environments preferred Strong financial and operational management skills Proven ability to lead large teams and multiple outlets Knowledge of beverage programs including wine, cocktails, and bar operations Excellent communication and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field Experience managing high-volume banquet or event operations Familiarity with hotel management systems and POS platforms Why you'll want to work for MML: Competitive Salary + Bonus Potential Beverage Education Reimbursement Paid Time Off MML Property Discounts (Hotel, Restaurant, Retail) Fitness and Health Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life, and Pet Insurance Retirement Benefits Parental Leave Advancement and Promotion Opportunities Community Service Opportunities Relocation Assistance If an offer is accepted for this position, a comprehensive background check will be required, which may include verification of employment history, education credentials, and criminal records.
