The Cabinet Builder is responsible for fabricating and assembling custom cabinetry and interior components used in ambulances. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and the ability to work from drawings and specifications to produce high-quality, durable cabinets that meet safety, regulatory, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities
Build and assemble custom ambulance cabinetry using wood products, laminates, aluminum, and composite materials Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and build specifications Measure, cut, drill, assemble, and finish cabinet components using hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment Install hardware, hinges, slides, latches, and structural fasteners Apply laminates, edge banding, sealants, and adhesives Ensure cabinets meet quality, durability, and safety standards Perform fit-up and adjustments prior to installation in the vehicle Identify and report defects, material issues, or design concerns Maintain clean, organized work areas following 5S and safety standards Support rework, repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of cabinet building, woodworking, or fabrication experience preferred Ability to read drawings and follow work instructions Strong measuring, layout, and attention-to-detail skills Proficient with hand tools and power tools (table saw, router, drill, etc.) Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in standing or bending positions Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Preferred Experience
Experience building cabinetry for ambulances, RVs, marine, or commercial vehicles Familiarity with lightweight and fire-retardant materials Experience with aluminum cabinet frames Knowledge of quality and safety standards in vehicle manufacturing Work Environment
Manufacturing and fabrication shop environment Exposure to noise, dust, tools, and machinery PPE required Why Join Us
