Partner with senior leadership to ensure compliance with U.S. and foreign information reporting legislation. Apply extensive knowledge of Ch. 3, Ch. 4, Ch. 61, 871(m), and 1446(f) of the Internal Revenue Code. Oversee end-to-end information reporting processes including withholding, depositing, and regulatory reporting, while understanding tools and systems used in these workflows. Address non-U.S. reporting and withholding matters, including tax reclaim processes. Represent Corporate Tax in federal, state, and international controversy matters related to information reporting and withholding. Conduct advanced research of tax laws, regulations, and case law; provide senior leadership with recommendations and policy interpretations. Lead cross-functional implementation of tax policies, including training, vendor assessments, review of business requirements, and operational alignment. A successful Tax Director - Information Reporting should have: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. 10+ years of progressive experience in tax withholding, information reporting, or related tax compliance within financial services or public accounting. Ch. 3, Ch. 4, Ch. 61, 871(m), 1446(f) IRS Forms W?8 and W?9 documentation rules Reporting regulations for Forms 1099, 1042?S, and FATCA Strong analytical research capabilities with the ability to interpret and communicate complex regulations.
