Director of Patient Financial Services (Revenue Cycle) Owosso, MI Full-Time $105,000 – $158,000/year

We are seeking an experienced Director of Patient Financial Services to lead and optimize revenue cycle operations within a dynamic healthcare environment. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end patient financial services, ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and a strong focus on patient experience.

Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of Patient Financial Services and Professional Billing Oversee revenue cycle operations including billing, accounts receivable, collections, and credentialing Develop and implement policies to improve revenue cycle performance and cash flow Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, payer requirements, and internal controls Manage vendors and third-party partners to maximize financial outcomes Monitor and maintain accounts receivable metrics and KPIs Collaborate with Finance, HIM, IT, and operational teams for reporting and performance optimization Drive process improvements and workflow efficiencies Provide leadership in staffing, training, and team development Support strategic initiatives and align departmental goals with organizational objectives

Required Qualifications Associate’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Healthcare Administration (Bachelor’s preferred) 5+ years of leadership experience in revenue cycle or billing operations 3–5 years of experience in medical billing, claims, and follow-ups Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, collections, and billing processes Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word

Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as HFMA (CHFP/CRCP) or AAHAM (CRCS) Experience in hospital or physician practice revenue cycle operations Knowledge of insurance contracts, EOBs, coding methodologies Familiarity with CMS and third-party payer regulations Experience with EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Meditech) Strong analytical skills with experience in reporting and KPIs
