Examples of Duties

Duties Include

Publication & design - Conceptualize, write, edit, and design promotional materials including brochures, print and digital advertising, direct mail, banners, website, etc. Image Design - Conceptualize and design promotional images including logos, graphic identifiers, etc. Web Graphics - Assist with creating and editing photos and graphics for ucmbookstore.com. Web edits - Prepare and/or complete text edits for the web. Social media - Assist with conceptualizing, creating, scheduling, and posting content to official UCM Store’s social media sites. Photo shoots - Assist with scheduling and coordinating. Photography – Occasionally photograph products, events, people and campus. Applicant must possess attention to detail, communication skills, including oral, written and/or nonverbal. Knowledge of University environment preferred. Ability to work independently as well as with a team. Must be self-motivated. Candidate must have excellent problem solving/analytical skills. Strong time management skills-ability prioritize and meet deadlines while managing multiple projects. Candidate will work 15-20 hours per week, some of which may be irregular or outside the traditional workday. Summer work is required. *Other duties as required, including but not limited to web order fulfillment and cashier assistance.

Education

Typical Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Sophomore level or higher college student (specify hours earned) majoring in Graphic Design. Demonstrated proficiency using word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation. Demonstrated proficiency using software Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Lightroom. Preferred proficiency in web page maintenance.
