Job Description Digital Asset Associate (DAM) We are seeking a Digital Asset Associate to support the day‑to‑day management of an enterprise Digital Asset Management (DAM) system used by creative, marketing, and product teams. This role is focused on maintaining structured asset libraries through strong metadata, taxonomy, permissions management, and governance practices.
This position is ideal for someone with a “librarian mindset” who enjoys working in backend systems, maintaining organized file structures, and ensuring digital assets are easily searchable and properly maintained across teams.
This is not a design role. The focus is on asset organization, metadata structure, and system administration.
Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day administration of the DAM platform, ensuring assets are properly uploaded, tagged, and structured
Maintain and apply metadata schemas, taxonomy standards, and naming conventions across asset libraries
Organize large volumes of creative assets including product imagery, packaging files, videos, brand assets, and marketing materials
Manage user permissions including onboarding new users, removing access, and supporting internal teams with DAM usage
Train internal stakeholders on best practices for uploading, tagging, and maintaining assets
Support ticketed requests related to asset organization, access, and structure (10–20 requests per week)
Perform ongoing cleanup and optimization of metadata fields and asset organization
Ensure only approved assets are accessible and outdated or duplicate assets are properly archived
Support integrations between the DAM platform and creative workflows, including Adobe tools
Collaborate with creative, marketing, production, and IT teams to maintain consistent asset governance standards
Assist with backend organization and structure improvements to ensure long‑term usability of the DAM environment
Ideal Background
3–6+ years working within Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems or structured digital libraries
Strong understanding of metadata, taxonomy, tagging logic, and file organization best practices
Experience managing permissions, user access, and structured asset environments
Comfortable working in backend systems and maintaining detailed organizational standards
Experience supporting creative, marketing, e‑commerce, or production teams with asset organization
Detail‑oriented with strong process mindset and ability to maintain consistency across large asset libraries
Experience with Aprimo or similar DAM platforms (Bynder, AEM, Brandfolder, Widen, etc.) preferred
Backgrounds in digital asset management, archives, library science, records management, content operations, or information management strongly relevant
Experience working in ticketed workflow environments (Asana, Jira, etc.) is a plus
