Position Overview The Youth Activities Director is responsible for developing and delivering a dynamic, year-round youth and family programming calendar that enhances the overall member experience. This individual will play a visible and impactful role in the Club, creating a welcoming, safe, and engaging environment for children while supporting family‑centered events across all departments. This position reports directly to the General Manager/COO and collaborates closely with the Events, Aquatics, and Fitness teams.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, development, and execution of all youth and family programming.
Design and oversee the Club's extensive summer camp program, including curriculum development, staffing coordination, scheduling, and daily execution.
Create a comprehensive calendar including:
Holiday events
Themed activity nights
Summer camps and school break camps
Family‑focused club events
Deliver engaging, age‑appropriate programming that blends fun, safety, education, and creativity.
Oversee and actively participate in Kid Care operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Coordinate youth programming elements for major club events and social functions.
Oversee pool programming and maintain a visible, active presence on the pool deck during peak season. Support and enhance the overall pool environment through programming, organization, and member engagement.
Coordinate with contracted lifeguard services to ensure safety standards, accountability, and a positive member experience.
Maintain a strong presence with members and families, building relationships and enhancing engagement.
Support Wellness Center operations as needed, including front desk coverage and member interaction.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in teaching, childcare, recreation, or youth programming.
Degree in Education, Recreation, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
Experience with pool operations or aquatic environments is a plus.
Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel).
Required Certifications
First Aid Certification
CPR Certification
AED Certification
Governors Club will support the successful candidate in obtaining and maintaining required certifications.

Salary: $65,000–$75,000
