Position Overview The Emergency Management Specialist Sr serves as a subject matter expert responsible for leading emergency response preparedness and execution programs for accidents, incidents, and disaster events. This role partners closely with Operations, Safety, Environmental, and other field personnel to investigate incidents, address operational risks, support required training and develop practical solutions. In addition, the role provides guidance and support for Business Continuity planning and support, including directly as SOC contingency, and physical security operating requirements, helping ensure resilient operations and effective risk mitigation across the organization.

Responsibilities

Functions independently and with guidance in the most complex situations as an advisor to operations on corporate programs, operating requirements and systems within emergency response and business continuity; may lead projects with moderate complexity and risk

Guarantees emergency response preparedness programs are crafted and implemented based upon regulatory requirements and needs of business

Operates as a subject matter expert with a depth of specialized knowledge both within and across the discipline and acts as a change agent for meaningful organizational programs and initiatives

Ensures business operations are trained in emergency response and incident command structure

Maintains positive relationships with regulatory agencies and company partners to build awareness, creates an understanding around compliance and influence decision makers, and works through chain of command to persuade management level stakeholders and to build consensus between internal/external stakeholders

Other duties as assigned, including potentially acting as call‑intake back‑up to Williams Security Operations Center

Eligibility and Experience

Required: High School Diploma/GED and eight (8) years’ experience in Crisis Management, Emergency Response & Incident Command Structure

Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Crisis Management, Emergency Response & Incident Command Structure and six (6) years’ experience in Crisis Management, Emergency Response & Incident Command Structure

Other Requirements

Travel up to 40%

Must be a strong team player who can build partnerships with others

Proficient knowledge in NIMS or Incident Command structure

Experience in responding to incidents from a corporate standpoint

Knowledge of 192, 193, 194, 195 DOT, PSM, RMP requirements for emergency response

Lead fellow employees through projects

Experience in the NIMS - 100-800 & HSEEP
