Marketing and Media oversees marketing and communications efforts for the Division of Student Success, under which University Career Services (UCS) falls.

This position is in-person based out of Student Center East on the Atlanta Campus. The coordinator will work 40 hours per week at an hourly rate of $20/hour. The position is temporary and will not exceed 1,300 total hours. Temporary positions are not benefits-eligible and do not include paid leave.

What Will You Do Under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Media, the Marketing Specialist (Temp) will be responsible for implementing creative strategies designed to promote and elevate programs and services offered by UCS. This position will focus on updating and creating all marketing collateral used to promoting UCS’ presence across all Georgia State campuses. This role requires a creative and organized individual who is passionate about helping university students achieve their career goals as well as someone who is self-motivated to effectively communicate and work across different teams to achieve Division-wide marketing and communications goals.

Duties And Responsibilities Include

Works with the Director of Marketing & Media to develop a comprehensive marketing plan to drive awareness, interest, and participation in UCS programs, initiatives, and events.

Designs, edits, and produces all creative promotional collateral.

Manages social media and all other media.

Reports on marketing success and opportunities.

Uses multiple formats to market events, social media, and related materials.

Produces reports based on data collected on marketing initiatives.

Actively participates in UCS events and actives.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or another related field and two years of related experience or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Requirements

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple digital projects simultaneously.

Experience with graphic design and other marketing platforms.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines with minimal supervision.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to work effectively with diverse constituencies and across administrative lines.

Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and other creative software.

Experience utilizing social media tools including applications and analytics in a business setting.
