
Global Mobility Specialist III

The Global Mobility team is responsible for supporting the successful transition, integration, and ongoing experience of international healthcare professionals (HCPs) throughout their entire assignment lifecycle in the United States, from pre‑arrival through the completion of their work assignment. The Global Mobility Specialist III plays a vital role in preparing international healthcare professionals (HCPs) for successful transition and integration into life and work in the United States. This role is responsible for delivering a comprehensive range of pre‑arrival and post‑arrival support services through webinars, one‑on‑one calls, resource development, and personalized guidance as part of the Avant Transitions Program (ATP). The Global Mobility Specialist III ensures that HCPs are culturally, emotionally, and logistically prepared for both their professional assignments and personal acclimation into U.S. communities.
Essential Functions of the Job
Serve as a trusted and professional representative of the Avant Healthcare Professionals program, building rapport with HCPs and fostering confidence and stability throughout the full transition lifecycle, from pre‑arrival through active assignment.
Educate HCPs prior to arrival through webinars, virtual sessions, and individualized one‑on‑one calls, providing tools and resources that support cultural understanding, professional expectations, and logistical readiness.
Provide structured, proactive support during the first 90 days of an HCP’s assignment through scheduled check‑in calls to assess adjustment, address concerns, and support successful cultural and workplace integration.
Offer ongoing, on‑assignment support beyond the initial 90 days through as‑needed outreach, responding to HCP‑initiated requests and proactively engaging when cultural, personal, or professional concerns arise.
Support HCPs in navigating assignment‑related challenges from a cultural assimilation and lifestyle adjustment perspective, helping them adapt to U.S. workplace norms, expectations, and community engagement.
Deliver continued education and guidance throughout the Avant Transitions Program (ATP) via live presentations, small group discussions, targeted resources, and individual one on one sessions to promote long‑term assignment success.
Provide individualized resources and guidance on key relocation and lifestyle topics, including housing, transportation, budgeting, school enrollment, and family support needs such as spousal employment and childcare.
Develop, update, and distribute on‑assignment resources, newsletters, and educational materials to support ongoing engagement and support while HCPs are active on assignment.
Create, revise, and maintain educational content, presentation materials, and resource guides to ensure alignment with current policies, best practices, and evolving cultural trends.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in internal systems, capturing all communications, case notes, and support activities.
Collaborate closely with internal teams to address challenges, elevate concerns appropriately, and implement tailored, effective solutions.
Communicate and coordinate with external vendors, as needed, to support HCP needs and facilitate timely issue resolution.
Participate in weekly team meetings, contributing updates, insights, and collaborative problem‑solving to strengthen overall program delivery.

Normal Work Schedule This is a full‑time position. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Additional time outside of these hours may be needed to complete the essential functions of the job.
Education, Training and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
2-3 years of experience in counseling, customer service, global mobility, or a related field.
Experience working with international populations or living outside the U.S. preferred.
Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in software tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity, with an understanding of the unique needs of international personnel.
