What You'll Be Doing
Master the Visual Narrative: Develop and enhance high-impact dashboards and reports in PowerBI. You will transform raw datasets into compelling visual stories that allow sales leadership to track real-time performance and identify market trends at a glance. Ensure Data Integrity (Report vs. Lake): Apply deep analytical rigor to validate results between our front-end reports and the back-end Data Lake. You will be responsible for reconciling data across platforms to ensure every visualization is accurate, consistent, and trusted. Design Scalable Reporting: Collaborate with IT to integrate new data sources, ensuring our visualizations and processes evolve alongside the business’s needs. Use your ability to articulate root causes and present well-reasoned solutions to explain the "why" behind data discrepancies or reporting changes to stakeholders in Sales and Finance. Champion the “Source of Truth": Support the integrity of our reporting ecosystem by maintaining rigorous business rules and governance through clear documentation. You will ensure that all stakeholders are aligned on a single, reliable version of the data. Support Data Engineering Foundations: Maintain a basic understanding of ETL processes and SQL (Google BigQuery) to support the development and auditing of the datasets that feed your reports. Drive Agile Problem Solving: Conduct high-impact, ad-hoc analyses on complex datasets to answer critical questions regarding business trends, market shifts, and product performance. Collaborative Reach: This role serves as a critical bridge between technical and business teams, interacting primarily with Sales Operations, Sales Leadership, IT, and Finance to ensure data alignment and strategic clarity.
What You Will Need To Be Successful
This is an entry-to-mid-level position; we are seeking candidates with less than 5 years of professional experience in data visualization, BI development, or reporting analysis. A Bachelor’s degree in a technical or mathematical field (e.g., Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance). Ability to translate technical data into clear, visual narratives that address specific business questions. A foundational understanding of writing SQL code (joining tables, basic queries) to navigate relational databases and validate data accuracy. Intermediate proficiency in Excel/GoogleSheets (pivot tables, complex formulas, Power Query, DAX). A natural "why" seeker who enjoys digging into complex datasets to find the "how".
