Work Schedule:
Monday to Thursday, 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM (with some flexibility)
Open to current Eastern Shore Community College students only.
This position supports the college’s digital accessibility efforts, helping remediate Word, PowerPoint, Excel, PDFs, and other documents to meet federal ADA Title II regulations.
Functional Responsibilities
Remediating PDFs, PowerPoints, and other documents for digital accessibility
Researching best practices for digital accessibility
Improving documentation processes
Creating e-forms
Organizing electronic documents
Assisting others who need help with digital accessibility
Required Qualifications
Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Ability to work with various digital document types and formats
Basic knowledge of document structure: headings, lists, tables
Strong attention to detail and adherence to guidelines
Willingness to learn and apply accessibility best practices (training provided)
Ability to learn AI tools to support document review and remediation
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple documents and deadlines
Independent work capability and effective communication with staff
Commitment to supporting inclusive and accessible digital environments
