Job Summary We are seeking a full‑time Ophthalmic Assistant with a strong work ethic and a desire to have a long‑term career with a successful optometric team. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient work‑up, visual acuity, refraction, visual fields, OCT, tonometry, and contact lens insertion and removal.

Essential Job Functions

Perform optometric pre‑testing including visual acuity, auto‑refraction, manual refraction, tonometry, topography, OCT, visual field, manual lensometry. Record chief complaint, medications, and medical history.

Assist patients with contact lens insertion, removal, and care compliance training.

Assist and provide patients with excellent customer service and any necessary information regarding treatment.

Education and Experience

Experience within a professional environment with a strong customer‑service focus.

High school or equivalent education.

CPOA or COA certification preferred.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full‑time position located in Fort Myers, FL.

Travel to other locations as necessary.
