As the Director Food and Beverage, you are responsible for the overall growth and financial profitability of the food and beverage department through revenue management, cost control, guest satisfaction, and maintaining a positive and efficient work environment for team members. The Director of Food and Beverage uses superior customer service skills and extensive managerial experience to develop strong relationships with guests while leading a winning team. What your day will look like: Leads a team accountable for the performance and results of a function or a business. Executes assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Promotes a culture of open communication. Drive organizational excellence in operations and customer service in all revenue centers. Oversee performance measurements to ensure the property operates within approved budgets and is competitive in its respective competitive set. Participates in and integrates Living as a Leader concepts into all levels of management. Produce monthly financial reports to be presented to Geronimo Hospitality COO/VP of Restaurants/Area Director of Restaurants. Adhere to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supply, utility, and labor costs. Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Ensure all financial (invoices, reporting) and personnel/payroll related administrative duties are completed accurately, on time and in accordance with company policies and procedures. Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of kitchen and dining areas. Ensure compliance with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances. Responsible for ensuring consistent high quality of food preparation and service. Maintain professional food and beverage image, including venue cleanliness, proper uniforms, and appearance standards. Works closely with other departments including Marketing, Human Resources, Sales, Accounting, and Lodging to ensure quality guest and employee experience. Work with Human Resources as needed to ensure all entity employment practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations. Ensure positive guest service in all areas or operations. Respond to complaints, taking any and all appropriate actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests. Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Complete accident reports promptly if a guest or employee is injured. Hire, develop, and train associates to ensure guest satisfaction and company culture. Ensure the cleanliness and safety of the food and beverage department and its assets through the enforcing and maintaining of preventative maintenance programs. All other duties as assigned. What it takes to succeed: Education:
High School diploma or equivalent Experience and/or Training:
Minimum five years' experience in front-of-house operations leadership and/or management positions. Five years' experience banquet operations. Technology/Equipment:
Computer skills including Microsoft Office You will stand out if you bring: Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration or equivalent of education and work experience. Experience and/or Training:
