Overview Our client, a leader in public safety and government communications, is seeking a Land Mobile Radio Engineer (LMR) to join their team. As a Land Mobile Radio Engineer (LMR), you will be part of the technical support and operations team supporting critical radio communication systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Land Mobile Radio Engineer (LMR) Location: Maryland (On-site, with regional travel as required) Pay Range: competitive based on years of experience Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain mission-critical LMR systems to ensure high availability and performance Perform RF troubleshooting, system tuning, and optimization to enhance coverage and reliability Support field operations including site work, tower maintenance, and system upgrades Coordinate with vendors, utilities, and internal teams during installations and maintenance activities Provide technical support and training to system users and operational staff Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting Land Mobile Radio systems Strong knowledge of P25 Phase I/II systems and legacy analog/digital radio platforms Experience with major vendors such as Motorola, Harris/L3Harris, Kenwood, or Tait Solid understanding of RF theory, trunked systems, and radio networking Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware, firmware, and RF issues in field environments What's in it for me?
