Assistant Director
The Assistant Director supports the administrative team in overseeing recovery-oriented services within Envision Unlimited's residential programs. Responsibilities include supervising residential staff and interns, assisting with program planning and implementation, and ensuring overall efficiency across the residences. Candidates must hold an LCSW or LCPC or be actively working toward obtaining one. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Essential responsibilities include but are not limited to: Participate in administrative decision-making with the Director of Mental Health Ensure compliance with DHS, CARF, and other regulatory bodies Develop and evaluate policies, procedures, and recovery-oriented programming Maintain Key Performance Indicators for the MH Residential Program Supervise and train residential staff and interns; oversee House Managers Manage staff scheduling, payroll approvals, and shift coverage Build and maintain a registry for external shift coverage Monitor staff productivity and documentation standards Lead hiring, onboarding, and training of new staff Collaborate with MH Intake Coordinator to maintain census capacity Attend supervisions, meetings, committees, and support outreach effort Clinical expectations include: Coordinate interviews, assessments, and orientations for new clients Provide crisis interventions and risk assessments; complete incident reports within 24 hours Ensure services align with individual treatment plans Maintain accurate records in Quantum (EHR) Oversee referral transitions and maintain clinical documentation compliance Meet productivity targets and documentation deadlines Serve as LPHA for IM-CAN reviews Attend all clinical and staff meetings General performance expectations include: Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to program needs Attend committee meetings and client events Complete 15+ hours of approved training annually and share learnings Report safety concerns and seek supervisory support as needed Uphold agency policies, confidentiality standards, and ethical codes Maintain professionalism and punctuality across all functions Respond sensitively to diverse populations Positions supervised: Residential Services Staff Education, skills, and/or experience: Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field 5+ years of experience in social services 1+ year of supervisory/managerial experience Strong communication and leadership skills Compensation & Benefits: Salary: $65,000$75,000/year Time Off: 15 vacation days, 12 holidays, 3 sick days, 3 personal days Illinois Paid Leave: 40 hours (accrued) Insurance: Medical, dental, and vision Retirement: 403(b) plan Additional perks: Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Mileage reimbursement Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligibility Cell phone reimbursement or company phone Free clinical supervision for licensure (LSW, LCSW, LPC, LCPC) Licensure renewal reimbursement Voluntary benefits boutique Annual tuition assistance Join a mission-driven organization that empowers lives through recovery-oriented care.
