THE PRACTICE Oliver Wyman's Private Equity team in North America is looking to hire consultants to support its rapid growth. The team works with private equity investors throughout the deal transaction lifecycle—from opportunity identification through due diligence and post‑transaction value realization. Oliver Wyman takes a multi‑specialist approach, bringing deep industry and functional expertise, supported by proprietary approaches and a world‑class network. This enables clients to achieve differentiated results on deals and post‑transaction.

Roles: Senior Consultant and Associate

The Role and Responsibilities We are not typical “management” consultants. We provide industry‑ and discipline‑specific knowledge and expertise, amplifying our impact and shaping the future for our clients. The team looks for experienced professionals already working in or interested in focusing on one or a subset of various industries that serve private equity clients.

Ideal candidates will have most of the following:

Professional working experience with exposure to commercial due diligence in a management consulting firm.

Experience working across or within industries in private equity.

Knowledge and in-depth experience with customer research techniques (interviews, surveys, focus groups, etc.).

Strong background in strategic problem solving with demonstrable analytical skills.

Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both formal and informal settings.

Fluent in English.

An undergraduate or advanced degree from a strong academic program.

Ability to take initiative, seeking opportunities to learn new skills and apply existing ones effectively.

Creativity and readiness to develop novel ideas to solve the biggest problems our clients face.

Aptitude for analytical work, such as extracting insights from large data sets or identifying key issues in complex challenges.

A willingness to work fluidly and respectfully with our talented team.

Compensation and Benefits The applicable base salary range for this role is $135,000 – $195,000, determined by experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education, as well as applicable minimum wage requirements.

In addition to the base salary, the position may be eligible for performance‑based incentives. We offer a competitive total rewards package, including health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401(k) savings, other retirement programs, and employee assistance programs.
