Contract
We are seeking experienced Cartoons & Comics Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) with strong Adobe After Effects expertise to participate in recorded project sessions. In this role, you will work directly with end users to understand their needs, develop custom animated or motion-based cartoon/comic content, and present multiple creative options—while clearly explaining your process and decision-making. You will capture the sessions using free software. Instructions provided. This is a remote, contract-based opportunity ideal for professionals who enjoy both hands‑on animation and storytelling, as well as communicating their creative approach in a clear, engaging way.
Responsibilities
Participate in recorded sessions with end users, including an initial discovery conversation (up to 30 minutes) to gather requirements
A follow-up session (up to 30 minutes) to present completed animation or motion design options
Create 2–3 versions of requested cartoon/comic animations or motion sequences using Adobe After Effects based on user needs within a 3 business day turnaround following the discovery session
Record your workflow, including screen capture and narration, demonstrating how you approach animation, timing, visual storytelling, and composition
Clearly explain your reasoning, creative choices, and methods throughout the process
Use provided recording tools (step‑by‑step instructions included) to capture video, audio, and screen activity
Maintain a professional, engaging, and approachable presence during all sessions
Collaborate with the project team and incorporate feedback to improve session quality and delivery
Qualifications
Strong professional experience with Adobe After Effects, particularly in animation, motion graphics, or animated storytelling
Experience creating cartoons, comics, or character‑driven visual content (static or animated)
Ability to translate user ideas into clear, engaging animated or motion‑based visuals
Strong understanding of timing, composition, transitions, and visual storytelling
Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to explain creative and technical concepts simply
Comfortable working in a recorded environment and narrating your thought process in real time
Ability to adapt to different user requests without advance preparation and deliver high‑quality work within defined timelines
Strong English communication skills

Project Details
Type: Contract / Freelance
Session Structure: Up to 4 recorded projects with different end users
Per Project Includes: One discovery session, creation of 2–3 animation or motion design variations (delivered within 3 business days), one presentation session, recorded screen capture with narration
Time Commitment: Flexible, project‑based (scheduled sessions plus independent production time within SLA expectations)
Compensation: Milestone‑based per project.
Additional Information
Sessions are scheduled collaboratively based on availability, typically during U.S. business hours
Deliverables must meet quality standards for video, audio, clarity of explanation, and timeliness
