About The Role We are looking for an experienced Superintendent to manage the day‑to‑day operations of multifamily construction projects in the Boise, Idaho area. The Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of the construction project from start to finish, including leading a team of onsite field foreman, carpenters, and laborers. This role ensures that all field operations are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, while keeping projects on schedule and within budget. The Superintendent serves as a strategic leader, driving productivity, fostering team development, and building strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all field operations, ensuring labor, materials, and equipment are effectively coordinated for efficient execution.
Provide leadership and direction to onsite Foreman, Subcontractors, and on‑site personnel to maintain productive and high‑performing teams.
Ensure strong communication and collaboration between field staff, project management, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
Develop, monitor, and maintain master schedules and project look‑aheads to ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
Enforce and promote all safety protocols, ensuring full compliance with OSHA and regulatory standards.
Conduct regular site visits, safety meetings, inspections, and audits to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Ensure all work meets quality standards, design intent, and applicable building codes through consistent on‑site inspections and timely resolution of issues.
Oversee procurement planning and material logistics, ensuring timely delivery, proper storage, and availability of required resources.
Expand and maintain a robust subcontractor and supplier network to support project needs, improve collaboration, and ensure competitive pricing and quality.
Identify and implement creative solutions to improve construction efficiency, boost productivity, and reduce project costs without compromising quality.
Serve as the primary liaison for field operations, providing timely project updates, communicating issues, and ensuring alignment across teams.
Identify and resolve field challenges, delays, and conflicts by facilitating effective problem‑solving with project teams.
Ensure projects are accurately and timely documenting all work in the field, inspections, and safety issues in accordance with company and legal standards.
Qualifications Required
High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent in multifamily or similar construction.
OSHA 30‑Hour certification required.
Proven experience managing field operations on large‑scale multifamily projects.
Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and building codes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret plans, technical drawings, and specifications.
Proficient in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera, Smartsheet).
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with other departments and external stakeholders.
Strong understanding of local building codes and construction regulations in the Boise, ID area.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred.
CPR/First Aid Certification is preferred.
