Summary Of Position As a Senior SEO Strategist, you will lead strategy and execution for high-value and complex SEO accounts. You will be responsible for driving measurable organic growth, improving lead generation performance, and ensuring SEO strategies align with client business objectives. This role requires advanced technical knowledge, strategic thinking, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage multi-location and enterprise level home services clients. Senior SEO Strategists are expected to operate autonomously, provide strategic leadership, mentor team members, and proactively identify opportunities and risks before they impact performance.
Position Responsibilities
Own strategy and execution on larger, more complex SEO accounts with the goal of increasing key performance indicators including search visibility, organic traffic, qualified leads, on-site engagement, and conversion rate
Develop and lead monthly strategic plans for assigned accounts, coordinating execution between Client Success, Content, Web Development, Paid Media, and other internal teams
Serve as the strategic lead on high-MRR and multi-location accounts, ensuring proper site structure, service page optimization, and local SEO alignment
Communicate progress, performance insights, and technical recommendations to the Client Success team in a clear and proactive manner
Identify and resolve advanced technical SEO issues including crawl errors, Core Web Vitals, indexing challenges, redirect strategies, migrations, schema implementations, and site architecture improvements
Monitor search industry trends, including algorithm updates, AI-driven search changes, and evolving local SEO signals, and adapt strategies accordingly
Build and optimize local SEO strategies including Google Business Profile alignment, citation management, service-area structure, and entity consistency
Develop high-intent keyword strategies focused on revenue-driving services (install, replacement, emergency services, etc.)
Mentor fellow members of the organic team, helping elevate technical skillsets, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
Provide consultation on best practices across technical SEO, content strategy, internal linking, local SEO, mobile SEO, AI search visibility, and site migrations
Utilize tools such as Google Analytics (GA4), Google Search Console, Screaming Frog, Google Trends, Nozzle, BrightLocal, SEMRush, and additional SEO platforms to drive informed decision-making
Proactively identify scope risks and workload concerns to protect performance
Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
3 - 6 years of hands‑on experience in SEO strategy and execution
Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-location, or enterprise-level SEO campaigns
Strong technical SEO background including site audits, migrations, schema, and performance optimization
Proven ability to develop and execute strategies that drive measurable lead generation growth
Exemplary organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple high-priority accounts simultaneously
Attention to detail with respect to technical accuracy, content quality, and data analysis
Strong work ethic with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
Ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into actionable strategy
Strong work ethic and a "do whatever it takes to get the job done" attitude
Experience in the home services industry (HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical, etc.) is a plus
The total compensation for this salaried non-exempt opportunity includes a base salary range of $68,000 to $75,000, the potential for bonuses, plus benefits. This is our target compensation range and is subject to multiple factors, including role, level, experience, and location. This role is eligible for a quarterly performance-based bonus. Bonus eligibility is based on performance metrics and company results. As you go through our interview process, your recruiter will work with you to identify a competitive base salary within the proposed range.
