Junior Interior Designer | High-end Residential Interior Design Grand Rapids, MI | In Office | Full Time We’re hiring for our client, a nationally recognized high‑end residential interior design firm celebrated for its artistry, craftsmanship, and client‑centered approach. Rooted in collaboration and creativity, this studio designs soulful, story‑driven homes that beautifully balance function, emotion, and timeless design. We are seeking for our client a passionate and detail‑oriented Junior Interior Designer to join their team. In this role, you will assist the Senior Designers in the design process from initial conceptual design through construction. This opportunity calls to someone eager to learn and grow in this role and who can collaboratively work on multiple projects with simultaneous deadlines. Assisting with multiple client projects at different phases Assisting with ongoing project deliverables for clients and contractors Develop design boards and other visual communication techniques to communicate an overall design concept and finish and fixture selections Specifying furnishings, wall coverings, floor coverings, and other decorative elements Specifying architectural elements such as doors, windows, flooring, and millwork Assisting with construction documents, elevation drawings, millwork drawings, plumbing and electrical schematics, details, schedules, and specs Assisting with project management and administration throughout construction Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field 2-3+ years of experience in the residential interior design field Proficient with AutoCAD, Sketchup, and Enscape Knowledge of residential design, including new builds and remodels Knowledge of cabinetry standards and products, both in terms of design and installation Knowledge of finishes, fixtures, materials, and specifications and ability to support with clients to discuss pricing, selections, and drawings – FF&E & FF&E Specifications Familiarity with residential design standards and construction processes Strong visual, oral, and written communication skills Culture & Environment
