Position Profile As a Documentation Specialist on our space production team, you will be actively involved with the review of hardware and documentation prior to presentation to final inspection. You will work alongside the Technicians/Mechanics that will be assembling, testing, and repairing production hardware, working at our state‑of‑the‑art climate‑controlled manufacturing facility in Montville, NJ. You will work with a cross‑functional quality, production, and engineering team to achieve quality and on‑time delivery goals.

Documentation Review
Work Order Traveler
Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) datasheets
Assembly Procedure (AP) datasheets
Oscilloscope Traces
Nonconformance Packets (if applicable)
Tool Lists
Hardware Review
Perform visual inspections
Check all Tec marks
Torque shipping block screws
Check orientation of all connectors
Check mounting holes for damage
Clean ports where applicable
Check all lock wire is present/acceptable
Check nameplates are correct
Issue Resolution
Manage or elevate issues impacting successful completion, communicating with technicians and team lead as necessary
Identify and document non-conformances
Participate in corrective action resolution
Other Tasks
Generate spreadsheets for data collection.
Read, understand, and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics, etc.
Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing re‑work and waste, and inputting data into quality database.
Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required.
Minimum Qualifications
0-2 years' experience with documentation/inspection in a manufacturing or production environment with mechanical parts.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Contribute to a positive and cooperative work environment through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and follow procedures.
Strong Computer literacy, with PC skills and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office.
High school diploma or equivalent.
More experienced individual desired. Compensated base on experience.
Demonstrate the ability to understand and work with blueprint drawings, and component manuals.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Schedule & Compensation 4‑Day Work Week – Monday‑Thursday (6:00 AM‑4:30 PM), OT available.
Pay Range: $33.00 – $36.00 /hour.
Your level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job‑related knowledge and skills, experience, and internal consistency.
