Associate Creative Director specializing in Lifecycle and CRM

to own the visual and narrative journey of our customers. This is a "player-coach" role leading a team of two (Senior and Mid-level designers) to build high-converting, full-funnel email and SMS experiences for our clients. You aren’t just designing emails; you are architecting the customer journey. We need someone who understands that a beautiful layout is secondary to a layout that converts. You will run alongside your team, crafting everything from high-touch welcome series to complex re-engagement flows, ensuring every touchpoint is data-backed and brand-aligned. What you'll do Lead & Execute:

Act as a hands-on mentor, running alongside your team of four to set the pace and quality standard for all lifecycle creative. You lead by doing, not just by delegating. Full-Funnel Strategy:

Develop creative for the entire customer journey—from lead nurture and post-purchase flows to win-backs and loyalty programs. Data-Driven Iteration:

Partner closely with the CRM and Marketing teams to analyze open rates, CTRs, and conversion data. You will translate these metrics into creative optimizations that move the needle. Testing Frameworks:

Lead the charge on A/B testing (subject lines, imagery, CTA placement, layout structures) and document findings to build a sophisticated CRM creative playbook. Agile Workflow:

Manage the team within an agile system, ensuring that high-volume email deployments are executed with precision, accountability, and strict adherence to deadlines. Best Practices Training:

Educate the team on the nuances of email design, including dark mode optimization, accessibility, and mobile-first hierarchies. Qualifications 8+ years

of design experience, with

2-3 years

in a leadership role specifically focused on CRM/Email. Tool Proficiency:

Mastery of

Figma

and

Adobe Creative Suite

. Social-First & Rapid Tools:

High proficiency in

Canva

and other agile editing tools for quick-turn lifecycle assets. Gen AI Mastery:

Strong working skillset utilizing Generative AI to accelerate workflows, conceptualize ideas, enhance creative output, personalize content, and speed up production. Platform Knowledge:

Deep familiarity with enterprise-level ESPs (e.g., Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud) and the technical constraints of email rendering. Agile Experience:

Proven ability to lead a team through agile sprints and meet rigorous deployment schedules. Note to Applicants:

Please include a portfolio that highlights full-funnel email campaigns. We want to see evidence of how you used data/testing results to iterate on a campaign and improve its performance. The pay range for this role is: 110,000 - 165,000 USD per year (Softline HQ)
