The Marketing Project Manager is responsible for maintaining workflows, timelines, and integration for all Marketing and related communication initiatives. This role manages intake, prioritization, and distribution of helpdesk tickets for internal needs from TROY areas; traffics creative and deliverables to and from internal teams and external partner agencies; identifies innovative ways to increase engagement and streamline efforts; and manages short- and long-term projects while assisting with logistics and execution.
In support of marketing initiatives, the Marketing Project Manager may also aid in guiding content integration across owned media channels, including coordinating and implementing website content updates within the CMS when time and project priorities allow. This includes collaborating with stakeholders to ensure content aligns with approved messaging, brand standards, accessibility guidelines, and campaign objectives.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating the department’s metrics and reporting; compiling data and writing summaries and executive-level reports; coordinating and producing presentations; attending and facilitating meetings; and trafficking deliverables in a fast-paced higher education marketing environment.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in communication, business or closely related area of study
2. Minimum of two years of related work experience
3. Ability to independently write reports suitable for an executive audience
4. Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
5. Valid state driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
1. Five or more years of related experience
2. Experience with presentation creation and delivery
3. Project management, analytical, and decision-making experience
4. Experience managing metrics/reporting
5. History of developing and maintaining strong working relationships
6. Experience managing small teams
7. Ability to be organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet firm deadlines
8. Ability to be creative in problem solving and communication
9. Ability to demonstrate individual initiative as well as team spirit
10. Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
11. Excellent time management skills and sense of urgency to see projects completed on time and with the highest standards of quality and stewardship
Will this position require driving (personal vehicle, university vehicle, utility vehicle, or golf cart) in order to perform the job duties? Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility.
Work Hours
Standard office hours, with additional work hours occasionally needed on evenings and/or weekends.
