Job Title: Senior Email Marketing Specialist (SFMC & HTML/CSS)
Role Overview We are seeking a data-driven and technically proficient Senior Email Marketing Specialist to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of end-to-end lifecycle campaigns. This role is a blend of creative strategy and technical "email engineering," requiring a deep understanding of how to build responsive, high-performing emails that render perfectly across all platforms. You will collaborate with digital stakeholders to manage a complex campaign calendar while proactively testing and analyzing data to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities • Campaign Management: Lead the end-to-end execution of email marketing campaigns (45%), ensuring all deployments are optimized for engagement and conversion. • Technical Development: Troubleshoot and iterate on email code (HTML/CSS) to ensure mobile-first, responsive design. Use AmpScript (or similar) for advanced personalization and dynamic content. • Strategy & Testing: Proactively design A/B testing roadmaps. Analyze past campaign performance against industry benchmarks and present actionable recommendations to leadership. • Stakeholder Collaboration: Align with the broader digital team to maintain the project calendar (Jira) and manage expectations across multiple departments to ensure high-quality delivery. • Analytics & Compliance: Monitor campaign tracking via Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics. Ensure 100% adherence to CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and global deliverability best practices. • Tool Optimization: Leverage third-party tools such as Litmus, MovableInk, or Sparkpost to ensure rendering consistency and innovative user experiences.
Qualifications & Requirements • Technical Mastery: Solid understanding of HTML and CSS specifically for email. Advanced proficiency in AmpScript or a similar personalization language is required. • Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with enterprise-level ESPs. Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) is highly preferred. Experience with Responsys, Silverpop, or MessageGears is a plus. • Analytical Skills: Knowledge of email testing, optimization approaches, and marketing tagging/tracking (GTM/GA). Understanding of SQL is a significant advantage. • Project Management: Proficiency in Jira or similar project management tools. Ability to meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment with exceptional attention to detail. • Professionalism: Strong presentation skills with the ability to showcase wins and learnings to executive-level stakeholders.
